'Momma had a baby and her head popped off!'

Going back to childhood (it really is a fixation with me, isn't it?). . .

Our yards used to be covered in dandelions. It added a great deal of color to the neighborhood, and as kids we could lay in the grass and imagine we were in great fields of wildflowers. I used to make up songs and sing to myself. Or prop up against a tree and read. Or just stare at them. . .

The school yard was covered in dandelions too. Alone, dandelions were something to enjoy in peace. In a crowd, they caused much laughter and excitement.

I remember always waiting for them to pop up again, heh.

(This one wasn't picked, but hung over the edge of a flowerbed with a bunch of other weeds. We're so good with gardening. )
